The Heaven's Trail Belt Can Seriously Save Your Back
Comfort is not just about our seats, the Heaven’s Trail belt can seriously save your back. And that’s just the beginning.
Does your back hurt? Well, you’re not alone. About 1 in 4 adults in the U.S. has at least one day of back pain, mostly in the lower back. Inherently there are several ways you can injure your back with tree stands.
First of all, there is a lot of sitting in tree stands waiting for a deer to walk by. Sitting for prolonged periods of time can be a major cause of back pain, causing increased stress of the back, neck, arms, and legs. This can add a tremendous amount of pressure to the back muscles and spinal discs.
Then there is the physical exertion involved with hunting. Walking to the stand, climbing our sticks, dragging a harvest out of the woods, the list goes on.
There is another aspect of tree stand hunting that can really throw your back into a tailspin. Installing your tree stand. Let’s face it, putting up a tree stand is awful. In fact it’s such a horrible process most hunters often leave stands in a bad spot rather than go through the effort of moving it to a better position on the property.
With that in mind, we worked with Buckingham Manufacturing to create a belt specifically for installing our tree stand. Buckingham has been making belts for arborists and lineman for over 124 years. If anyone knows the rigors of climbing trees it’s the arborist community. Here are three benefits of using our Belt:
1. It’s the right tool for the right job.
The components of our Belt system are all manufactured by Buckingham and serve specific needs. One need is to stay connected at all times. So we include a 2-in-1 lanyard with aluminum s-clips on each end and a triple action carabiner between them on a prussik knot.
This lanyard provides you the ability to climb above and below limbs while always remaining attached to the tree. The hard d-rings on each hip make using the aluminum s-clips a snap.
2. Allows you to work hands-free.
The Heaven’s Trail Belt was specifically designed to allow you to work hands-free to install your tree stand. This means you can lean back onto the belt and work directly in front of you.
We’ve all tried to install a tree stand by climbing the tree, strapping our gear with one arm and holding on for dear life with the other. Using the 2-in-1 lanyard positioning system you can stay attached to the tree in the perfect position, complete your work in that area and move on to the next installation point. All while your back is protected by the belt’s wide contour foam back pad.
3. Wear a belt that protects your lower back.
Lower back pain is a common trait reported among 85% of back-related issues. Being slouched over or lifting heavy objects in front of you can be a quick way to overextend your back. With the Heavens Trail Belt securely attached to the tree, you can sit back in your harness and protect your lower back.
Once you are in this position it’s much easier to bring gear up to you using a tether system. This will protect your lower back from strain and overall discomfort.
We understand hanging a tree stand is not a fun process, but when you use a Heaven’s Trail Belt with our One Trip Process you eliminate the excuse that moving your stand to a better spot is too much work.
