Can a US Patent Help You Become a Better Hunter?
When we first started Heavens Trail we had a vision for a better way to install a tree stand that wasn’t so difficult. After installing hundreds of tree stands we knew there had to be a better way. So we started designing the One Trip Process and our three tree stand models with the idea that the hunting community deserves a fresh look at an old problem. How do you get a tree stand in the tree easily.
We always knew we wanted to pursue a patent for our product. We were told by many in the industry that the odds of successfully being granted a patent were very small, but that didn’t stop us. We’re happy to report that we were awarded a patent for our tree stand and tools this month. But how can this help you?
The patent we were awarded covers several claims in our product line from the winch all the way to the sticks we use that are critical in our one trip process. But the thing we are most proud of is the articulating bracket.
The articulating bracket is a unique piece of hardware that makes our tree stands one of a kind in the marketplace. If you want to bag more game you need to be in the tree stand more times than you’re not. One key component to staying in the stand longer is comfort. If your stand is not level and leaning to one side or another you’re not going to be comfortable for long.
There are no straight trees out there. The odds of getting your seat and platform level while installing a traditional tree stand are Slim to None.
The problem with most stands on the market is you need to find a perfectly straight tree to ensure that your stand goes up level. Well we all know that’s just not possible. This is where the articulating bracket can help you install your stand at a level position and keep it there.
As you install your stand the engineering behind the articulating bracket allows you to control both the pitch and roll of your stand. If you’re leaning to one side just make a simple adjustment to one of the pins on the bracket and level it out. We even include a cross check bubble level right there at your eye level while you are installing the stand in the tree. This allows you to easily make adjustments to your stand while installing.
We’re more proud of the products we are building for the hunting community and happy to be recognized for the ingenuity in our products.
"Sure Patent protection is fantastic for manufacturers. Our patent shows tremendous innovation in a market where innovation has been missing in action for a long, long time. That’s a huge win for consumers! This patent is all about putting you in a better position to be successful, Safer than you’ve ever done it. Win-win. Thank you to all of you who have supported our brand."
